Exhibitions in Our Studio

In the heart of Klagenfurt, we, Johann & Liane Holzfeind-Wieltschnig, open the doors of our studio to everyone who wishes not only to view art, but to experience it with all their senses. Our exhibitions are not traditional gallery spaces. They are vibrant places of encounter, exchange, and inspiration.

In the calm and personal atmosphere of our studio, we invite you to immerse yourself in the world of our artworks. Here, you can experience the colours, discover the textures, and sense the stories behind each painting. Every work is the expression of a moment, an emotion, an inner vision, waiting to be discovered.

Our exhibitions are intentionally small and intimate, creating space for genuine encounters, between people and art, between artist and viewer. We take time for conversation, questions, and shared moments of wonder, because art thrives on dialogue.

Visits are possible by prior telephone appointment, allowing us to devote our full attention to you and your impressions. Whether you come alone, with a companion, or as part of a small group, you are warmly invited to become part of this unique atmosphere.

Gallery Wernberg Presents the Exhibition

"I Am Still Here"

by Johann Holzfeind-Wieltschnig
April 22, 2026

Wernberg – Gallery Wernberg is dedicating a comprehensive exhibition to the restorer and painter Johann Holzfeind-Wieltschnig under the title "I Am Still Here". The exhibition brings the multifaceted life's work of the artist, born in Wernberg in 1949, back to the very place where his artistic journey began.

Holzfeind-Wieltschnig, who spent a significant part of his early years in Wernberg, developed a strong affinity for art from a young age. Despite his professional training in a skilled trade, his creative passion remained constant and eventually led him into the field of art restoration. Over several decades, he dedicated himself to the preservation of numerous sacred and historic works of art. Restoration projects at the Provostry of Gurnitz, work on the Antoni Bells, and the restoration of wayside shrines and paintings are among his most notable achievements.

His artistic work was also shaped by international influences. Among other experiences, Holzfeind-Wieltschnig participated in a project in New York initiated by renowned Carinthian chef Wolfgang Puck, where art and gastronomy were brought together. Since 2009, he has been a member of the Carinthian Art Association and has played an active role in shaping its cultural program.

The exhibition "I Am Still Here" offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the stylistic development and thematic diversity of his artistic career. Visitors can look forward to a carefully curated selection of works that provide insight into decades of creative dedication and artistic achievement.
